Sorting & SelectionRemove tires with excessive mud, oil, metal, severe aging or excess nylon fiber. Prioritize steel radial tires, truck tires and OTR tires for higher oil yield.
Cutting & Crushing
Cut whole tires into strips first
Crush into small rubber pieces of 2–5 cmEnsures even heating, faster pyrolysis and higher oil output.
Steel Wire Removal (De-wiring / Magnetic Separation)Separate steel wires using a wire drawing machine and magnetic separator.Thorough wire removal protects equipment, avoids blockage and improves carbon black quality.
Screening & PurificationUse a vibrating screen to remove sand, dust and impurities to reduce coking inside the reactor.
Drying & DehydrationAir-dry or heat-dry tires to minimize moisture content.Moisture reduces oil yield, extends heating time and causes unstable pressure.
(Optional) Rubber Powder GrindingFor continuous plants, grind into 2–5 mm rubber powder for faster heat transfer and slightly higher oil yield.
