Why a Dewaxing Tank is Needed for Waste Plastic Oil Refining
The addition of a dewaxing tank in waste plastic oil refining is mainly to solve the problem of wax in the "crude oil" produced by the pyrolysis of waste plastics. It not only affects the appearance of the oil (turbid color) but also reduces the combustion efficiency of the oil. During combustion, it is prone to produce carbon deposits and black smoke, increasing equipment wear and maintenance costs, and may also cause the oil to have a pungent odor. The dewaxing tank can simultaneously filter some fine impurities, making the oil clearer and purer, reducing adverse phenomena during combustion, and extending the service life of subsequent equipment.
3. Increase oil added value and expand application scenarios: The undewaxed crude waste plastic oil can only be used as low-price heating oil with limited profit space. After dewaxing treatment, the oil quality is greatly improved, and it can be further refined into high-quality fuel fractions such as diesel and gasoline, even meeting strict emission standards such as Euro 6. It can be applied to a wider range of scenarios such as vehicles and industrial boilers, greatly increasing product prices and profit space.
4. Recycle wax to realize secondary utilization of resources: The wax separated by the dewaxing tank is not a waste. It can be further processed into special wax products such as rubber protective wax and phase change energy storage wax, which are widely used in tire manufacturing, cold chain transportation, beauty and physical therapy and other fields. It forms a dual profit closed loop of "waste plastic → oil + wax", improving resource utilization and overall project benefits.
