Advantages and Disadvantages of Batch-Type Pyrolysis Oil Extraction Equipment
Advantages and Disadvantages of Batch-Type Pyrolysis Oil Extraction Equipment
Advantages
Low investment cost: Simple equipment structure and low single-set cost, suitable for small and medium-sized projects and start-ups.
Flexible operation: Single furnace capacity ranges from 5 to 30 tons, enabling flexible start-stop according to raw material volume, and adaptable to working conditions with scattered raw materials and fluctuating output.
Mature process: Low technical threshold, simple operation and maintenance, high operational stability, and easy troubleshooting.
Diversified products: Can produce fuel oil, carbon black and steel wire (for tire processing), bringing good comprehensive benefits.
Small footprint: Compact equipment with low site requirements, easy for layout and renovation.
Disadvantages
Low production efficiency: Batch operation requires the whole process of feeding-heating-pyrolysis-slag discharge for a single furnace, with limited daily processing capacity (10–50 tons).
Relatively high energy consumption: Reheating is needed for each batch, leading to large heat loss and higher unit energy consumption than continuous equipment.
High labor cost: Feeding, slag discharge and furnace cleaning need to be completed manually or semi-automatically, with high labor intensity and low efficiency.
Great environmental protection pressure: A small amount of flue gas and dust are easily generated during furnace opening and slag discharge, with large fluctuation in tail gas treatment load.
Limited scalability: It is difficult to achieve large-scale production through simple superposition, not suitable for large projects with daily processing capacity exceeding 50 tons.
