Uses and Compliant Operation Guide for Tire Pyrolysis Oil

I. Main Uses of Tire Pyrolysis Oil

Tire pyrolysis oil is a fuel oil derived from the pyrolysis of waste tires. It can only be used in compliant industrial scenarios, and civil use or blending into refined oil systems is strictly prohibited.

Industrial fuel substitution

Used in industrial boilers, high-temperature metallurgical/building materials furnaces, chemical heating furnaces, drying kilns, etc., to replace heavy oil, coal tar, and other fuels.

Deep processing raw material

After hydrorefining, it can be used as a raw material for producing diesel and fuel oil (requires corresponding chemical production qualifications).

Power generation fuel

Used in oil-fired generator sets of industrial captive power stations and small thermal power plants (requires prior desulfurization and impurity removal refining).

II. Compliant Operation Requirements for Tire Pyrolysis Oil

The operation of tire pyrolysis oil must strictly comply with environmental protection, safety, and industrial policies; otherwise, legal risks will arise.

1. Qualification Access

Obtain a Hazardous Chemicals Business License (as tire pyrolysis oil is a flammable and toxic hazardous chemical).

The production link must have waste tire comprehensive utilization qualification, EIA approval, and work safety production license.

If oil refining is involved, corresponding chemical production qualifications are required.

2. Operational Specifications

Strictly prohibit illegal flow: Do not sell to the civil market or gas stations, and do not blend into vehicle refined oil.

Storage and transportation: Use special hazardous chemical storage tanks and transport vehicles, and implement anti-static and anti-leakage measures.

Contracts and traceability: Establish purchase and sales records, clarify that the oil is only for industrial fuel use, and retain qualification certificates.

3. Environmental Protection and Safety

Partner production enterprises must be equipped with tail gas treatment systems to ensure that waste gas, wastewater, and residues meet discharge standards.

The operation site must be equipped with flammable gas detectors, fire-fighting equipment, and emergency protective devices.

4. Policy Compliance

Comply with local industrial policies; some regions have capacity and process access requirements for waste tire pyrolysis projects.

Keep up with policy changes to avoid operational risks due to policy adjustments.
