Safety Operation Guide for Waste Tire Pyrolysis Oil
Safety Operation Guide for Waste Tire Pyrolysis Oil
Core Principles: For industrial use only (kilns/boilers); strictly prohibited for civil use (kitchen/heating) or blending into vehicle fuel oil. Prevent leakage, poisoning, fire and pollution throughout the entire process.
1. Pre-use Preparation
Confirm equipment compatibility and inspect the tightness of furnaces/pipelines.
Equip the operation area with gas detectors, gas masks, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations and other emergency equipment.
All personnel must complete special safety training; wear anti-static work clothes, nitrile gloves and goggles on duty, and gas masks when exposed to oil and gas.
2. Storage and Transportation
Store in special carbon steel tanks with anti-corrosion and electrostatic grounding measures; install cofferdams in the tank area, keep away from open flames/residential areas, and do not store with oxidants.
Transport via sealed tank trucks/pipelines; control loading/unloading flow rate ≤3m/s and strictly prohibit open flames on site.
Regularly inspect tanks/pipelines and post "Toxic and Hazardous, No Open Flames" warning signs.
3. On-site Operation
Install filters on oil supply pipelines; conduct ventilation and replacement before ignition, and start operation only after oil-gas concentration meets the standard.
Keep equipment running under negative pressure during combustion; start the tail gas treatment system simultaneously and strictly prohibit direct exhaust of tail gas.
Maintain forced ventilation in the operation area; monitor toxic/flammable gas concentrations in real time and stop work and evacuate immediately if concentrations exceed the standard.
Strictly prohibit hot work on site; apply for a Class 1 hot work permit if necessary, and conduct operation under special personnel supervision after replacement and concentration testing.
4. Personal Protection
Avoid direct skin contact; rinse with soapy water if contact occurs, and rinse eyes with plenty of clean water for more than 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately if eyes are exposed.
Forbidding eating, drinking and smoking in the operation area; change clothes and thoroughly clean exposed body parts after work.
Personnel engaged in long-term operation shall receive annual physical examinations, with key monitoring of blood routine, liver and kidney functions, and lung functions.
5. Emergency Response
Leakage: Stop work immediately, cut off fire sources, seal leak points, absorb waste liquid with sand, and entrust qualified entities for disposal; strictly prohibit direct discharge of waste liquid.
Poisoning: Move the injured to a well-ventilated area immediately, unbutton clothes, supply oxygen if breathing is difficult, and send to hospital promptly.
Fire: Cut off oil supply immediately and extinguish fire with dry powder/foam fire extinguishers; do not use water directly for fire fighting and call the police if the fire spreads.
