What are the differences between batch type and continuous type pyrolysis plant?
The differences between batch and continuous tire oil refining equipment
① Material processing
Batch tire oil refining equipment: With a large furnace door design, it has low requirements for the shape and size of the materials. It can directly process whole tires or small-sized materials such as rubber powder and rubber blocks. In actual production, there is generally no need to be equipped with a pre-treatment device.
Continuous tire oil refining equipment: Due to the use of a sealed screw feeding method, it can only process small-sized materials such as rubber powder and rubber blocks. If the raw material is a whole tire, a waste tire pre-treatment device needs to be configured in the production line to break the whole tire into rubber powder and rubber blocks.

② Working mode
Batch tire oil refining equipment: Waste tires are manually or hydraulically loaded into the cracking furnace and compacted. After the furnace door is closed, heating begins. When the temperature reaches 320-450°C, the waste tires in the furnace start to stably produce oil and gas. The oil and gas are cooled by the condenser, and the cracked oil enters the oil storage tank. The non-condensable gas is purified and directly used for heating the cracking furnace. After the cracking is completed, the furnace door can only be opened after the cracking furnace cools down to remove the carbon black and steel wire inside, and then the next batch of materials is loaded for cracking.
Continuous tire oil refining equipment: The PLC-controlled screw feeding machine automatically feeds the materials. Due to the use of high-temperature slag discharge, the production efficiency is higher than that of batch tire oil refining equipment. Especially the fully continuous tire oil refining equipment can achieve continuous production with simultaneous feeding and slag discharge, eliminating the ineffective time of secondary loading, cooling and discharging, and secondary heating.

③ Processing capacity
Batch tire oil refining equipment: The daily processing capacity of the conventional model is between 3 and 20 tons.
Continuous tire oil refining equipment: The daily processing capacity of the conventional model is between 25 and 50 tons, and it has two working states: semi-continuous and fully continuous.
④ Equipment quotation
Batch tire oil refining equipment: It is currently the most mature technology, with the highest usage rate among manufacturers and customers. The market quotation for a set is around 300,000 RMB.
Continuous tire oil refining equipment: The market quotation for a semi-continuous set is around 400,000 RMB. For fully continuous sets, due to the limited number of manufacturers and varying technical capabilities, the market quotations range widely, from several hundred thousand to several million RMB.

In fact, both batch and continuous tire oil refining equipment have their own advantages and disadvantages. The best choice is the one that suits your needs. Therefore, when purchasing tire oil refining equipment, it is essential to clarify the production capacity, material properties, feeding and discharging requirements, site conditions, and investment budget.
Note: Both batch and continuous oil refining equipment adopt the micro-negative pressure low-temperature cracking technology, which is carried out under micro-negative pressure (effectively preventing the escape of cracking gas and carbon black), low temperature (cracking temperature controlled below 420°C), and oxygen-free conditions. The principle is the same, and the difference lies only in the working mode, with one being batch production and the other continuous production. The choice mainly depends on the investor's budget.
