Notes on Daily Maintenance of Main Furnace

Before maintenance, slag discharging and furnace cleaning, stop heating in advance, fully cool down and release pressure. Never open the furnace door or access cover under high temperature and pressure to avoid high-temperature oil gas ejection, scalds and fire accidents.

Strictly control the cracking temperature and internal pressure. Over-temperature, over-pressure and over-load operation are prohibited to prevent furnace deformation, liner cracking and accelerated corrosion.

Clean coke and carbon deposits on the inner wall regularly. Excessive coking will cause uneven heating, higher energy consumption and local overheating damage.

Lubricate driving parts such as riding wheels, tyre rings, bearings and reducers regularly with high-temperature grease. Check abnormal wear, noise and deviation to ensure stable rotation.

Inspect all sealing parts including furnace door seal and rotary seal every day. Replace aging seals in time to prevent oil and gas leakage and eliminate safety hazards.

Control feeding quantity strictly in accordance with the rated capacity. Avoid hard sundries entering the furnace to prevent inner wall scratch and equipment damage.

Regularly check the outer wall, welds and steel plate for corrosion and deformation. Conduct rust removal and anti-corrosion painting to prolong the service life.

Inspect the burner, combustion chamber and flue pipeline regularly to keep smooth ventilation and sufficient combustion.

No open fire, welding or smoking around the main furnace during operation and maintenance, so as to prevent flammable gas accidents.

For long-term shutdown, clean up residues and oil dirt, keep the interior dry and well ventilated, and complete moisture-proof and anti-rust protection.
