1. Classified by Sealing & Locking Method (Most Commonly Used)

Flange bolt type: Flange + bolts + high-temperature resistant gasket, excellent sealing and high pressure bearing capacity; slow to open/close and labor-intensive. Suitable for small-scale, low-frequency operation equipment.

Quick-opening type (lever/hydraulic/pneumatic): Hinge + quick locking mechanism, one-touch operation for high efficiency; reliable sealing and automatable. The mainstream for medium and large-scale equipment.

Snap/clamp type: Clamping slot + rotating clamp, simple structure and quick operation; average pressure bearing and sealing performance. Suitable for small-scale test furnaces.

2. Classified by Opening Direction

Side-opening type (hinged): Horizontal rotation to the side, easy slag cleaning and reliable sealing. Universal for horizontal furnaces.

Top-opening type (flip cover): Upward flip with a large feeding port; difficult to seal and prone to heat loss. Commonly used for vertical furnaces.

End cover type: Flat end cover, compact structure and good heat insulation; inconvenient operation as it needs to be removed for opening. Suitable for small-scale and compact equipment.

3. Classified by Functional Design

Insulated type: Built-in refractory insulation layer for heat loss reduction, standard configuration.

Water-cooled type: With cooling water jacket, high temperature resistant and anti-deformation; suitable for high-temperature/high-abrasion working conditions.

Explosion-proof type: Equipped with pressure relief device for automatic overpressure protection, mandatory safety requirement.

4. Selection Key Points

Sealing: Prioritize quick-opening type with self-tightening seal to ensure no leakage.

Efficiency: Hydraulic/pneumatic quick-opening type for medium and large-scale equipment to shorten slag cleaning time.

Safety: Explosion-proof and pressure relief structure must be equipped.
