Application Scenarios of Pyrolysis Treatment Technology
Leveraging the advantages of resource recovery, volume reduction and controllable environmental protection, pyrolysis technology has been widely applied in the disposal and resource utilization of various solid wastes, with the main application scenarios as follows:
1. Resource Utilization of Waste Tires
This is the most mature application field at present. Pyrolysis can convert waste tires into fuel oil, carbon black, steel wire and combustible gas.
The products can be directly used as industrial fuel or deep processing raw materials, which solves the problems of environmental pollution caused by waste tire stockpiling and the "black pollution", and aligns with the policy orientation of circular economy.
2. Resource Disposal of Waste Plastics
It is suitable for chlorine-free plastics such as PE, PP and PS, which can be pyrolyzed to produce fuel oil, wax oil and carbon black.
The treated oil can replace fossil fuels and reduce soil and groundwater pollution caused by plastic landfilling. However, chlorine-containing plastics such as PVC must be strictly avoided to reduce environmental risks.
3. Treatment of Biomass Waste
It can process biomass raw materials such as agricultural straw, forestry wood chips and food waste to produce biochar, bio-oil and combustible gas.
Biochar can improve soil quality and achieve carbon sequestration and emission reduction, while bio-oil can be used as clean fuel. This is an important path to realize the resource utilization of agricultural waste and carbon neutrality.
4. Harmless Disposal of Oil Sludge and Hazardous Waste
For oil-containing hazardous waste such as oilfield sludge and refinery residue, pyrolysis can realize oil recovery and residue stabilization, avoiding secondary pollution caused by hazardous waste landfilling.
Some medical waste and organic hazardous waste can also achieve volume reduction and harmlessness through pyrolysis, with exhaust emissions more easily meeting the standards.
5. Refined Treatment of Municipal Solid Waste
It can pyrolyze sorted combustible waste (such as waste paper and fabrics) to replace traditional incineration, significantly reducing the emission of pollutants such as dioxins and NOₓ.
It is especially suitable for cities with high calorific value of waste and tight landfill capacity, improving the environmental protection and resource recovery rate of waste treatment.
6. Recovery of Industrial Organic Solid Waste
It can treat industrial organic solid waste such as rubber product scraps, resin waste and paint residue to recover fuel oil or chemical raw materials.
It helps enterprises realize the internal circulation of solid waste, reduce raw material costs and meet the requirements of environmental compliance at the same time.
