Hazards of Pressure Build-up in Tire Pyrolysis Furnaces
Hazards of Pressure Build-up in Tire Pyrolysis Furnaces
Equipment damage : Excessive internal pressure causes bulging, deformation or even rupture of the furnace body, cracking of pipelines and flanges due to pressure impact, and damage to supporting equipment such as safety valves and condensers, which directly leads to production shutdown and high maintenance costs.
Fire and explosion accidents : A sudden pressure rise easily causes pyrolysis gas leakage, which forms an explosive gas mixture with air and deflagrates/explodes when exposed to high temperature, static electricity or open fire, resulting in equipment damage and on-site fire.
Casualties : Furnace rupture and deflagration will cause high-temperature burns and shock wave impacts, and leaked toxic pyrolysis gas will also lead to personnel poisoning, posing a major personal safety risk to on-site operators.
Production interruption and economic losses : Equipment failures and accidents caused by pressure build-up will result in long-term shutdown for maintenance, which not only leads to production capacity loss, but also requires bearing costs such as equipment maintenance and accident handling, and even triggers environmental penalties.
Environmental pollution : Equipment damage leads to leakage of oil products, pyrolysis gas, carbon black and other materials, polluting soil, water and atmosphere, causing environmental problems and facing compliance rectification and fines.
Secondary safety hazards : Improper operation during pressure build-up disposal may easily cause secondary overpressure and backfire, or frequent problems such as leakage and seal failure in subsequent operation due to sudden changes in local stress of the equipment.
