Safety Operating Procedures for Tire Pyrolysis Equipment

1. Pre-startup Preparation

Equipment Inspection

Confirm no leakage of furnace body, pipelines and valves; verify that pressure gauges, safety valves and other safety instruments are functional, and fire protection facilities are available for use.

Raw Material Treatment

Crush waste tires and remove impurities such as metals and gravel; strictly prohibit mixing in flammable and explosive materials.

System Purge

Conduct pressure test with nitrogen and purge internal air to prevent the formation of explosive gas mixtures.

2. In-operation Control

Temperature Rise Specification

Raise temperature slowly in accordance with the process curve (≤50℃/h) to avoid local overheating; monitor furnace pressure and temperature in real time.

Non-condensable Gas and Oil Management

Reuse non-condensable gas after purification and install flame arresters on pipelines; store oil in sealed tanks equipped with alarm devices, and open fire is strictly prohibited around the tanks.

Personnel Operation

Wear anti-static protective gear; strictly prohibit open fire operations during equipment operation, and conduct regular inspections of potential leakage points.

3. Shutdown and Maintenance

Normal Shutdown

Lower the temperature step by step to below 100℃ before stopping the cooling system; purge residual gas with nitrogen.

Slag Removal and Overhaul

Perform slag removal only when the furnace temperature is below 60℃; obtain confined space operation permit, and assign guardians and provide gas masks for internal furnace operations; cut off all power supplies and post warning signs during overhaul to prevent misstart.

4. Emergency Disposal

Leakage and Fire

Cut off heat source and activate ventilation system; extinguish initial fire with foam or dry powder fire extinguishers; strictly prohibit using water to put out oil fires.

Overpressure and Deflagration

Immediately open the safety valve for venting and cut off fuel supply; activate fire sprinkler system and evacuate personnel in case of deflagration.
