The Function of the Condensation in Oil Refining Equipment
The Function of the Condensation in Oil Refining Equipment
In waste tire/plastic oil refining equipment, the condensation water tank is a core supporting component of the condensation system. Its primary function is to store, circulate and regulate condensation water, ensuring the stable operation of the key process of condensing oil and gas into liquid oil products.
Its specific functions can be divided into four aspects:
Storing and circulating condensation water
The condensation water tank serves as a "reservoir" for condensation water, continuously supplying a sufficient amount of cooling water to the condenser/condensation tower. During the oil refining process, the high-temperature oil and gas generated by pyrolysis needs to exchange heat with cooling water through condensation pipes. The water storage function of the tank prevents condensation interruption caused by insufficient instantaneous water supply.
Stabilizing condensation water temperature and ensuring condensation efficiency
The condensation effect of oil and gas is directly related to the temperature of condensation water—the lower the water temperature, the more fully the oil and gas is liquefied, and the higher the oil product recovery rate. The water tank can buffer the temperature rise of condensation water after a single heat exchange, avoiding the impact of sudden temperature rise on subsequent condensation effects. Some equipment is also equipped with cooling devices (such as cooling towers) linked with the water tank to further control the stability of water temperature.
Precipitating impurities and protecting equipment pipelines
During the circulation process, condensation water will be mixed with a small amount of impurities such as oil stains and pyrolysis residues. The condensation water tank can separate these impurities at the bottom through static precipitation, reducing the blockage and wear of condenser pipelines and water pumps caused by impurities, and extending the service life of the equipment.
Facilitating water replenishment and sewage discharge to reduce maintenance costs
The water tank is equipped with a water inlet and a sewage outlet: on the one hand, it can timely supplement the condensation water lost due to evaporation and consumption; on the other hand, it can regularly discharge precipitated impurities and turbid wastewater, simplifying daily maintenance operations and reducing equipment failure rates.
