Key Design Factors for Waste Tire Pyrolysis Steam Drum
Key Design Factors for Waste Tire Pyrolysis Steam Drum
Process Compatibility
The volume shall match the processing capacity of the pyrolysis furnace to ensure the oil-gas residence time of ≥10s. Adopt tangential or downward-inclined feeding at the inlet to prevent re-entrainment of heavy oil. Reserve a 20%-30% buffer volume to adapt to pressure and temperature fluctuations in batch processes.
Medium Adaptability
Select corrosion-resistant materials such as Q345R to resist the corrosion of sulfides and acidic substances in oil and gas. Install a heating device at the bottom to maintain the heavy oil temperature at 180-220℃ for good fluidity. Equip internal baffles or guide plates to improve heavy oil sedimentation efficiency.
Structural Parameters
Control the height-diameter ratio within the range of 2.5:1 to 3.5:1, and keep the cross-sectional gas velocity ≤0.5m/s. Avoid sharp internal structures to reduce airflow turbulence.
Safety & Maintenance
Equip with safety accessories including safety valves, pressure gauges and thermometers. Set up manholes/handholes and blowdown ports for easy inspection, cleaning and impurity removal. Implement anti-static grounding (grounding resistance ≤10Ω) and install combustible gas detectors in the installation area.
Compliance
Design in accordance with the national pressure vessel standard GB150 Pressure Vessels, and conduct 100% radiographic inspection on welds. Meet the environmental protection requirements for VOCs emission control.
