Fuel Heating System for Batch-Type Waste Tire Pyrolysis Equipment

The fuel heating system is a core heating mode designed specifically for large-scale production, featuring energy recycling, cost control and compliance suitability, which fully meets the batch operation requirements of the waste tire pyrolysis process.

Its fuel supply adopts a primary-secondary combined system. The core fuel is the non-condensable gas (NCG) produced during the pyrolysis process—a by-product consisting of low-carbon hydrocarbon mixtures generated from waste tire cracking. After undergoing desulfurization and dehydration pretreatment to remove hydrogen sulfide and moisture, it can be directly used as fuel. Meanwhile, diesel or natural gas is provided as backup fuel to cope with special working conditions such as insufficient NCG output and equipment startup/shutdown, ensuring continuous and stable heating and avoiding disruptions to the batch pyrolysis schedule.

During operation, the pretreated fuel is delivered to the external heating chamber of the pyrolysis reactor and precisely mixed with air at an optimal excess air coefficient of 1.1–1.3 for complete combustion, generating high-temperature flue gas. Heat is stably transferred to the inner pyrolysis chamber through dual effects of thermal conduction and radiation, accurately maintaining the core pyrolysis temperature of 450–550℃. This perfectly matches the batch operation sequence of the intermittent process (preheating – main pyrolysis – cooling), ensuring the full cleavage of macromolecular chains in waste tires and improving the yield and quality of products such as pyrolysis oil and carbon black.

The system boasts distinct core advantages. First, it achieves high-efficiency energy recycling: the NCG, which would otherwise require additional costs for treatment, is converted into a valuable resource, recovering its full calorific value, significantly reducing the procurement volume of external fuel, and cutting the long-term energy consumption costs of the project, which aligns with the concept of circular economy development. Second, it offers strong adaptability: the combustion system provides sufficient and stable heat supply, meeting the large heat demand of large-scale batch-type equipment for cracking a large quantity of waste tires per batch and ensuring production efficiency. Third, it enables easy compliance implementation: only by equipping an integrated flue gas purification system for desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal, can the pollutant indicators in the exhaust gas meet emission standards and satisfy environmental protection policies.

Compared with electric heating, it does not rely on high-power power supply facilities, has looser requirements for power supply conditions, and features lower operating costs. Therefore, it is more suitable for the construction and promotion of large-scale waste tire pyrolysis projects, balancing economy, environmental friendliness and practicality.
