Factors Affecting the Oil Sludge Pyrolysis Process

Multiple factors exert influences on the oil sludge pyrolysis process, mainly including raw material properties, process parameters, equipment conditions and auxiliary additives.

First is the characteristics of raw oil sludge. Components such as moisture, ash content, heavy oil and inorganic impurities directly change the pyrolysis effect. Excess moisture will increase energy consumption and slow down heating; high ash and inorganic substances are likely to cause caking and scaling.

Second are the core process parameters. Pyrolysis temperature is the most critical factor: excessively high temperature will lead to secondary cracking of oil gas, while low temperature results in incomplete pyrolysis. System pressure, heating rate and material residence time also determine the decomposition degree and product yield.
